Federal Decree-Law No. 33/2021 on Regulation of Labour Relations (Labour Code)
Key amendments:
1. The law is applicable to private sector employees only. It is not applicable to government employees and domestic workers.
2. Enhanced provisions have been introduced to protect employees from discrimination and harassments on various grounds including race, ethnicity, colour, and disability.
3. Concept of equal pay between male and female workers is now introduced if they both perform the “same work or another work of equal value”.
