Wanted Website Tester

The Website Tester will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the functionality, performance, security, and user experience of web-based applications. The tester will work closely with the development and QA teams to identify defects, ensure compliance with web standards, and test across multiple browsers, devices, and environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and experience in both manual and automated testing. This role is critical to delivering high-quality, bug-free websites and web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications and websites to ensure they meet the required standards for quality, functionality, and user experience.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and test plans based on project requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track defects/bugs, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
  • Test website features for security vulnerabilities, performance, and loading times.
  • Collaborate with development, design, and project management teams to ensure features are correctly implemented.
  • Provide regular status updates and reports on testing progress, challenges, and completed tests.
  • Verify and validate changes made during the development cycle.
  • Perform regression testing after code changes to ensure functionality is preserved.
  • Ensure websites are accessible and meet WCAG standards for accessibility.
Requirements:
  • Proven 3 years of experience in web application and website testing.
  • Strong knowledge of testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, TestRail, etc.).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
  • Experience in manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of various testing types including functional, usability, security, load, and performance testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Knowledge of web standards and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with continuous integration and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with mobile application testing is a plus.
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
